The members of the Grand Forks Auxiliary to the Boundary Hospital wish to express their gratitude to the residents of Grand Forks and area for the continued support through the ongoing donations of clean and usable items to the Thrift Shop.
With the funds generated from the sale of the items in the shop, the auxiliary is able to provide much needed equipment to enhance the services at Boundary Hospital.
Each year the auxiliary receives a “Wish List” of items that would benefit the care given to patients. In May 2016, the members of the auxiliary voted to provide $131,979 needed to purchase the following:
The Emergency Department:
1. Bipap and Ventilator Machine
2. 12 Lead ECG
3. Defribillator
The Medical Unit: 2 Stryker beds with exit alarms
Hardy View Lodge:
1. Two recliner Lift chairs
2. Starter Sensory System for dementia patients
3. TV wall mount
4. DVD player
Diagnostic Imaging:
1. Endovaginal imaging
2. Endovaginal Sponge
3. Weight Bearing Protector covers
Furthermore the members of the auxiliary also provided a generous donation of $50,000 to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Urology Campaign (Trail).
A huge bouquet of thanks must be given to the volunteers who give tirelessly of their time and talent to ensure that our hospitals are well equipped to provide optimal service to the residents of our community.
