LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Highway traffic flow is too unreliable

The powers that be need to fix three locations on the Island Highway, says letter writer

To the editor,

Re: New transportation ideas are needed at Nanoose flats, Letters, Sept. 4.

I agree with the letter writer, I identified that as an issue when I decided to relocate to Vancouver Island. That’s why I chose to buy in Nanaimo rather than other areas up Island. If you need to go to the mainland on any regular or semi-regular basis, or you need to go to Nanaimo for any reason, you can’t chance being trapped on the highway north of Nanoose.

The powers that be need to fix three locations on the Island highway: the Nanoose stretch, the Malahat and a section between Nanaimo and Ladysmith that also has no way around it.
