In regards to the article Feds approve LNG project, Northern Connector anyone remotely interested in fishing within the entire Pacific Northwest of B.C knows that no species of salmon spawn in the eelgrass habitat located on Flora Bank.
As well, as may now be obvious, juvenile salmon do not spawn at all. They only spawn when they return, as a full-grown adults.
Your article states: “The Flora Bank habitat near the island, which is an eelgrass spawning ground for juvenile salmon.”
By doing just a bit of actual research, you will be able to find out exactly where the various species of salmon do spawn.
As well, you will be able to find out why this area is critical for all salmon species, in the entire Skeena River Watershed, but not for spawning.
