June Samulak’s Grade 3 and 4 class at Fruitvale Elementary School recently completed an assignment where students penned letters to the editor of the Trail Times. Here is a sampling of their efforts.
I have been living in Fruitvale for nine years. I think it is very important for the youth of Fruitvale to have a skate park. I have been going to the Castlegar park for the past couple of years and really enjoy it.
I am getting tired of going all the way over there when I can have fun in my own community.
I would like to ask the Village of Fruitvale to consider building a skate park in the valley for me and all the youth to enjoy.
