Letter: TWU’s use of Bedford House as drop-in not welcomed by everyone

Editor: I am writing in response to your story about Trinity Western University being allowed to use the Bedford House as a drop-in centre (the Times, Oct. 12).  Why did the Township purchase this property and then shut down a very popular restaurant that everyone could enjoy?

I am in total disagreement with this proposal.

They have an immense campus very nearby and do not need this space.

They are a special interest group and even though it is open to everyone, not everyone would be comfortable there with them.  Many people think of Fort Langley as their second home but we do not expect to be given a special place.
