There are many heroes in our community that go unnoticed. This became obvious to my family recently when my mom suffered a heart attack.
Seeing the care given to our mom from her arrival at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital emergency to her two weeks in ICU and then the Cardiac Care Unit opened our eyes to how very lucky we are to have access to such outstanding people. We thank all of those involved in the care of our mother and want all of you to know how much we really appreciated all of your efforts.
All of you, from the cleaners, meal delivery, nurses, doctors, orderlies, volunteers etc. form a team and together all of your combined efforts help those in need. You and your families should all be so proud of what you do and for the great impact you have in helping those in need.
Special thanks goes out to ER Dr. Dhat, ER Nurse Ben, ICU Nurses Lisa, Chelsea and Dave, Cardiac Care Unit Nurse Song and Royal Columbian Hospital Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Kahn. On behalf of my entire family we thank you all for saving our mother, Wilma Hunter’s, life.
