CWGTF can also be applied to projects such as drinking water, solid waste and wastewater.

Re: My  previous letter published Nov. 20, 2015:

It appears the last portion of my letter may not have been received after suggesting that there may be as much as $3.1 million left in the Community Works Gas Tax Fund.

I pointed out that recreational, cultural and tourism infrastructures are just three of the many things listed that the CWGTF can be used for so why not $575,000 for Heritage Park?

CWGTF can also be applied to projects such as drinking water, solid waste and wastewater. Why couldn’t some of that money be used for the drainage concerns rather than raising taxes and possibly adding a new drainage fee?

If any of the items mentioned in my better of Nov. 20 or questions asked in this one are of concern, I urge people to call the mayor or a councillor or city hall to express those concerns.
