Volunteer during the pandemic to give some hugs

Handmade Hugs is a non-profit society that works with community partners to provide items of need for citizens of the Valley. These include items such as tuques, scarves, and mitts, afghans for care home residents, quilts for hospice, items for shelter residents, trauma support bears etc. Last year we donated over 1,900 items!

We are looking for new volunteers to join our group. We provide the supplies needed and you work from the safety and comfort of your home. If you like to knit or crochet and to help others in need, this is the group is for you.

As we move into fall and winter where Delta is now our least favourite word, check out our Facebook page at Handmade Hugs Cowichan Valley or drop by our office at 5878 York St. for our monthly drop off/pick up Saturday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (COVID precautions will be exercised).
