LETTER: Vote them all out in 2022

Reader says the next election can't come soon enough

The Editor,

It seems that people are still not getting our mayor.

Doug McCallum is attacking the RCMP because they refused to follow his edict that they not report the truth about Surrey in the past. He wants to control the rhetoric regarding what goes on in Surrey. He believes that a local police force will allow him to control the message.

McCallum says he ran on a platform to replace the RCMP but he won the election because he was the only candidate opposed to LRT. All other candidates were prepared to look at the replacement of the RCMP.

Surrey has two councillors supporting McCallum who don’t even live in Surrey.

The next election can’t come soon enough. Don’t vote for someone who is not a Surrey resident. Don’t vote for McCallum and company. Don’t vote for a party that says they want to eliminate the RCMP.

Say goodbye to Doug and his little vendetta. If he really listened to the people of Surrey, he would not fear a referendum.
