Letter: Watch for deer, tires

The takeaway here is you never know what you’ll encounter on the highway, write the Millars.

A week ago, my husband and I were leaving Grand Forks, and were just heading up Spencer’s Hill when we were shocked to see two tires rolling down the highway towards us.

I slowed down as it crossed over in front of us and rolled all the way down the hill into Grand Forks, crisscrossing all the way.

We though it humorouas at the time, but it could have been very serious had the highway been busier at the time.

We later noticed the vehicle that had lost the tire parked safely beside the highway, along with another vehicle, which we assumed stopped to help.

The takeaway here is you never know what you’ll encounter on the highway, whether it be a tire or the occasional deer, so be vigilant on our highways all though the year.

Have a safe holiday season.
