LETTER: We should be thankful for health care facilities

We should all be very thankful for the health care facilities available to us.

We should all be very thankful for the health care facilities available to us.

My mother recently passed away while under the care of staff at the Trillium Lodge hospice facility in Parksville.

This is a wonderful facility. The rooms are big and are not just a sterile hospital room, but feel comfortable for the patient as well as for the visitors.

The volunteer staff are always willing to give a helping hand for patient care and to lend a helping hand in any way for the family members.

The nursing staff provide the absolute best care anyone could wish for their family members’ final days.

To say ‘thank you’ is just not enough for all the care and compassion these nurses, volunteers and care workers provide. Thank you so much for helping us through this time.
