Letter writers annoying

Writer defends B.C. Liberal government’s child-care promise

To the editor:

It is amazing of the number of letter writers who did not research the topic of the B.C. Liberal government stating it would provide $40 per child for child care if the teachers don’t sign an agreement prior to the scheduled start of the school year in September before shooting off from the hip.

This $40 per child care allowance is not costing the taxpayers anymore money.

If these letter writers would have done their research, they would have read Finance Mike de Jong’s comments: “Cash will be paid using savings made from not having to pay the teachers during the strike.”

It’s very annoying and frustrating to read bogus letters from these letter writers. What has happened in this day and age to fair criticism?

It’s unbelievable!
