I’d like to thank Beau Simpson for his excellent article about Brent Burgher.

It’s good to hear that he is so positive and able to overcome such difficulties; it’s a lesson for us all.

The article mentions Brent’s grandparents. Leo and Laura Brady would be well worth several articles themselves.

Leo was a real man of the people; a veteran of the West Coast fishing industry, his fishing gear was known and used all up and down the coast by both commercial and sport fishermen. Laura was a fixture at Peace Arch Hospital for many years, and a welcoming face for their children’s many friends, Leo’s customers and political cronies.

Salt of the sea, and salt of the earth.
