Re: PAN online question of the week, May 19-25.
May I suggest that with the final election results not yet in, it was slightly premature for the Peace Arch News to ask us to consider whether the BC NDP ought to be “looking for a new leader.”
When the dust is settled, John Horgan may very well be the next premier of the province. Considering he was opposed by a powerful Liberal election machine enriched by millions of corporate dollars, he will deserve to be congratulated.
If Premier Christy Clark loses her job, you might more appropriately invite us to consider whether the BC Liberals ought to be “looking for a new leader.” My bet is that her proposed replacement will get a positive vote that exceeds the 36 readers who voted by mid-week for a new NDP leader.

Editor’s note: For the week following the May 9 election, PAN’s question was: Should the BC Liberals be looking for a new leader?
