Brent Edge, Penticton’s water quality supervisor, gave us some information on tap water rankings in B.C. (Penticton Western News, May 20, Water taste pitted against other cities) .
What always makes me wonder every time I read these judgements of appearance, mouth feel etc. is what about the “elephant in the room,” chlorine?
Aroma, taste, aftertaste and overall impression must surely be affected by this ubiquitous chemical. The judges wouldn’t dare sample the waters without it, would they? Would it even be legal?
Hoping that those who know the answers to these questions will clear the murky waters for me.
