Letters: Compassion shown

Sooke drivers considerate of small black lost kitten

On Monday morning, a young black cat with white boots was struck on Church Road. When I encountered it, it was attempting to cross back to get to its home, in Maple Estates. Cars traveling in both directions had stopped, waiting for the cat the to wobble across and get home.

On recognizing the cat, I crossed through stand-still traffic, retrieved it, and returned it home.
I was moved by the compassion of the drivers in the vehicles that had stopped for this injured little cat. Thank you!
