Letters: Eat chicken?

So why live next to the Agricultural Land Reserve and complain?

Re: Chicken farm protest grows (The News, Jan. 27).

I find it interesting that people move to an area that is sited as in the agricultural land reserve, then complain when someone wants to farm in their neighbourhood.

Isn’t it a bit like buying a home next to an airport, then complaining about the planes overhead.

The land reserve was created to ensure that we could provide local food for our growing population.

It is likely that most of those protesting this venture eat chicken.

Where do they think this meat should come from?
