Re: TrainBus cancelled for good (The News, Dec. 7).
So the much vaunted Evergreen line is supposed to provide travelers east of Coquitlam more choice in Transit options is it?
Currently, I can catch one of three TrainBuses, as well as the regular train service to Port Haney and the journey takes 1:18, according to the official West Coast Express schedule.
I can catch the bus at Waterfront Station. I do not have to change buses. The bus has toilet facilities and runs from station to station without any other stops.
The “much improved” options open to me after Dec. 31, when the TrainBuses cease are to catch two separate trains and two separate buses involving three changes, which will take me a minimum of 2:20, and for that to happen will require that all the connections line up perfectly (fat chance).
I would like to ask the person or group who decided this policy change exactly how does that improve my commute?
