LETTERS: Highway project not completed

Highways Minister Todd Stone's attention to this matter would be appreciated, says letter-writer.

A few of us in Sooke would like to know why the four-laning of Highway 14, after more than 30 years, has not been finished, going straight up and over the mountain and coming out at Saseenos. I have seen the blueprints to this road. The road is in the districts of Langford, Metchosin, and Sooke. With the population in the Sooke Region at more than 15,000 people, the current four-lane stretch of road has outlived itself. It’s also prone to several accidents and sometimes takes hours to clear. Highways Minister Todd Stone’s attention to this matter would be appreciated. Gordon Stewart Sooke
