Letters: Issue with parking

Event at the Sooke Community Hall highlighted lack of proper parking

e have to say we thoroughly enjoyed Seedy Saturday on February 28.

The choices of everything from seed potatoes, flowers and blueberry plants to baby chicks was a sight to gladden any gardeners heart. The vendors were well set up and the gardeners were raring to see their wares however I have to say that the lack of parking space  was a deterrent for those who could not walk very far. We were parked at the end of Grant Road and walked to the hill.

I would also like to point out there was a very irate business owner having vehicles towed in front of his antique business. While  I do understand his anger, his attitude certain would deter anyone from going into his place of business as who wants to deal with “road rage” on a beautiful Saturday morning and perhaps better parking some distance away with a shuttle bus might be a better alternative than be subjecting to angry  outbursts?
