LETTERS: Silence is not golden

There is a strange silence from the religious leaders representing the faiths whom these soulless cowards claim to be defending

Once again we are faced with the results, in Paris this time, of the twisted reasoning of the cowards who claim to be defending or promoting their religious beliefs.

While the world as a whole is sickened by these atrocities, there is a strange silence from the religious leaders representing the faiths whom these soulless cowards claim to be defending. Is it not time for a resounding condemnation of these types of actions, by the religious leaders involved, and a confirmation by them, that this is indeed not the way to prove their faith or to find a better afterlife?

As things stand today, all we have is a deafening silence.
