LETTERS: Victoria the wrong street for detoured Marine Drive traffic

Why is it that White Rock city council thinks that its a good idea to use Victoria Avenue as a detour route around Marine Drive, as it has absolutely no sidewalks and narrow streets with parking on each side, especially from Fir Street west.

Apparently no council members or planners live on this street.

I would like to know what, if anything, they are going to do about the loud cars and motorbikes that echo between the houses.

They have two streets complete with sidewalks and stop signs or lights – Columbia and Thrift – that could take the traffic. Remember, we are voting taxpayers also.
