LETTERS: White Rock restaurant ‘blown away’ by community support

On behalf of Primo’s Mexican Grill, I would like to extend our most heartfelt appreciation for the tremendous support shown by our local community in the past week.

As a relatively new business in White Rock, we have been blown away by the kind words and engagement we have received regarding our flag.

Thank you to Peace Arch News for bringing attention to this struggle.

We would like to recognize publicly the outstanding support of city council; the promise to revisit several outdated bylaws is a clear indication of the commitment that our council has to supporting local businesses.

Moreover, the White Rock Business Improvement Association was integral in guiding us through the process of rectifying the situation.

Director of Planning and Development Services for the City of White Rock, Carl Johannsen, has not only reached out to us, but found a solution that will allow us to fly both of our flags, for which we are eternally grateful.

In summary, we have seen the White Rock bureaucratic system in action, yielding successful results.

The Primo’s team sees so much hope and vision for the future of our beautiful City by the Sea, and we look forward to many more happy years on the beach, margaritas, sunsets, and flying our flags with pride.
