Some people think I live in the dark anyway, but this Saturday (March 26) I will not be alone.
That’s because more than one billion people worldwide will be switching off their lights from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Earth Hour is a grassroots movement encouraging people everywhere to take positive actions for the environment and celebrate their commitment to the planet by switching off their lights for one designated hour.
There is strong evidence Canadians are looking for action on climate
change, according to a new poll conducted for the World Wildlife Federation.
The poll found that 84 per cent of Canadians are “as convinced or more convinced than last year that urgent action is necessary of climate change.”
