Local jobs in renewable energy
In the state of Washington just to the south of us, one half of all energy-related jobs are in the renewable energy sector; for example, solar energy and low carbon industries. Their citizens have rejected almost all new fossil fuel pipelines. And yet our provincial government has failed to reduce our carbon emissions, supports a huge tax-payer subsidized LNG gas pipeline, and allows BC Hydro to prevent solar farms from selling electricity into our publicly-owned grid. Shame on the NDP!
