Local slow pitch games worthy of audience

Sportsmanship and good plays can be found in Sooke's amateur slow pitch league

If you ever played fastball, softball, even baseball, you will enjoy sitting on a lawn chair and have fun watching the great sportsmanship and, really, some great plays that these guys and girls come up with.

In particular, I’m citing the 54-50’s slow pitch team. I had the pleasure of watching a game on Aug. 1 that was outstanding. Our team lost by one run, you had to be there to believe it.

I would like to encourage those who enjoy good sportsmanship and slow pitch to come out to Stan Jones Park across from the arena down in the valley and see for yourself.
