Re: Police patrols key to Malahat, Opinion, Oct. 20.
My suggestion is to make the Malahat Drive a zero-speed tolerance zone.
The fine for not adhering to the speed limit would be $100 per kilometre. Ten kilometres over the limit is a $1,000 fine.
Drivers would either obey the speed limit or pay for the option of full-time patrols on the Malahat.
