Market mess typical of major high-density city

Keep cramming in the homes and laying waste to the natural green spaces and the future will most certainly live here.

The photo of the former Surrey Public Market in the Sept. 17 issue of The Leader fits the Surrey tagline “The Future Lives Here” perfectly.

Most of the world’s major cities that have high-density populations being squeezed in cheek by jowl, as is happening in Surrey, end up with ghettos and slum areas very typical of the market site.

Keep cramming in the homes and laying waste to the natural green spaces and the future will most certainly live here. The writing is on the wall.
