Recently I took some books down to donate to the pop-up library in Parksville Community Park and was very disappointed to find it missing.
I looked forward to reviewing any new books that had been deposited there. I left my books in a bag anyway. I suspected vandalism and then read the article in The NEWS about the extensive damage done to the park. It seems that a few hooligans spoil it for everyone.
Perhaps these children need some discipline at home and need to be taught right from wrong. Maybe some volunteer work would help, to rebuild the community rather than tear it apart.
