MLA off base

Resident not pleased with comments coming from Eric Foster

The June 19 headline says, MLA defends Stickle plan despite opposition.

MLA Eric Foster expresses frustration, citing, “None of the council members (who unanimously oppose the provincial government plan he favours) came to any of the presentations.”

The May 29 editorial headline says MLA’s Stickle absence noticed. We read that “Numerous residents and a couple of local elected officials were even present. However, there was one noticeable absence – Vernon-Monashee’s MLA. ‘I’m disappointed Eric (Foster) wasn’t here’ said a resident.”

What a difference three short weeks seems to make Eric? No doubt next year during the re-election campaign, there will be ample time for you to meet voters face to face and persuasively defend your position.
