I have recently suffered a stroke and I’m taking an extra effort to write this so I hope you can edit and print this, as I am sure I am voicing the opinion of many residents within the range of the Oceanside police district (re: noise bylaws).
Well it is springtime, and like New Year’s Eve, people dig out their noisemakers. On Easter Sunday morning, sitting outside enjoying the warm sunshine, off in the distance a muffled noise becomes apparent and as time passes it gets louder and louder soon becomes thunderous as a Harley-Davidson motorcycle comes into sight.
I do look up, but not in admiration, but in disgust, not only for the invasion of my solitude but also or the sight that has unfolded. How do they get away with it?
I know some cities like Edmonton have banned this type of noise. Now, if I was to install these mufflers on my four-cylinder car, how long would I get to drive it before I would get a citation for the loud muffler?
When I see a motorcycle that you can hardly hear and its rider dressed neat and clean, that gets my admiration
