To the Editor,
Re: Residents voice support to preserve park’s dams, Nov. 22.
Again residents of an area of Nanaimo rise up to keep the status quo regardless of cost or safety considerations.
I can only imagine the hue and cry those same people would create if the dams were to fail causing flooding and death.
There are many ‘special places’ for residents to use that are beautiful, unique and safe.
They have to stop being selfish and consider those who don’t want to take the chance that something may happen.
I guarantee the clean up after any disaster will be much more expensive and devastating than what is currently being proposed.
