National Aboriginal Day plans underway

In honor of National Aboriginal Day we are planning a Family Celebration.

Aboriginal Engagement Success By 6 along with many community partners will be hosting this celebration on Saturday June 18 from noon until 6:00 p.m. at the Clearwater Elks hall.  The day will start off with the opening prayer and ceremony at 1p.m. We have many talented people joining us for the day. In the afternoon there will be games, songs, stories, displays, native crafts for sale, Métis area, activities for the children, a concession, and so much more. A very special guest Beverly Lambert from Vancouver will be in attendance. The whole community is invited to join us in this celebration of National Aboriginal Day. The day’s events are all free for all nations of people to enjoy. There will be donation jars set up if you so wish to donate to Success By 6.

We would appreciate and be honored to have your presence of sharing this day with all our community and families.

This event is open to all people, all nations and  all ages. Everyone is welcome!

This is a drug and alcohol free event!

National Aboriginal Day was first proclaimed by the Governor General of Canada on June 13, 1996, that June 21st of every year has become a day in the Canadian calendar that presents the Aboriginal peoples with a great opportunity to express great pride for their rich diverse cultures with their families, neighbors, friends, and visitors.
