Nature is what it is, but it’s not a vandal

Author stands up for Mother Nature who was accused of breaking park furniture during the Cache Creek flood in a recent issue.

Dear editor

People vandalize. Nature doesn’t. It does what it has to do. (The Journal, June 4).

Yes, it plays havoc, causes untold damage to personal and commercial property, loss of life, but who can call an earthquake or a Tsunami, a landslide or a torrential rain fall, vandalism? That was surely a misnomer.
