Naylors met goal

The Naylor family and fund organizers are very happy to announce that we have met our primary goal of $25,000.

Our community has shown amazing support for little Samuel Naylor, battling stage four brain cancer. The Naylor family and fund organizers are very happy to announce that we have met our primary goal of $25,000.

We want to thank the community for this huge encouragement and their financial support during this difficult time. We could not have done it without each and every one of you. It helped lighten the load for Marie and John Naylor, during an acutely stressful time, to know their financial burdens were being met by a community that wanted to lend a helping hand.

Samuel has entered the second phase of his chemotherapy where he has even more medical challenges ahead. He will be in isolation for approximately three months while he goes through stem cell transplants and high doses of toxic chemotherapy drugs. Much will be expected of his small body to endure and to recover from. His family’s endurance will be tested also, as they can only look on as he lives in quarantine. Now more than ever, Samuel, his family and his medical team need our prayers.

Providing a safe environment back home, with a new sterile bedroom and specialized equipment, may require more fundraising in the future.  It is our hope that service clubs in the area will step forward to help offset those costs, if need be.  Meanwhile, please visit:  facebook.com/samuelnaylorfundraiser for updates on Samuel’s progress.

Samuel’s parents;  John and Marie Naylor, and fund organizers; Micki Findlay, Monica Duncan and Nancy Buchanan Zboyovsky, wish to thank all of the wonderful, caring individuals, businesses and organizations who donated time, money and services in support of a family in crisis.  To view the complete list, please go to this direct link:  http://tinyurl.com/ooayl8p
