New memories of Nov. 11

I wish to thank not only the legion and the RCMP for putting on a first-class performance, but others who came to my aid.

As a Canadian veteran of the Second World War and being a proud participant in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 parade and ceremony in Cloverdale, I wish to thank, not only the legion and the RCMP for putting on a first-class performance, but others who came to my aid as I staggered off the parade square feeling ill.

Against my protestations, the ambulance service drove my to the emergency ward of Surrey Memorial Hospital.

The treatment I received from the knowledgeable and kindly teams was overwhelming and I am most grateful.

Three hours later with a complete diagnosis of my condition being forwarded to my doctor, I was able to return to the legion festivities and appreciate the wonderful performance by the Versatiles.

Thanks to all you wonderful people for your knowledge, kindness and dedication.
