Resident expresses concerns about the new curb side recycling program

On May 29, my recycling was at the curb at 7 a.m. as instructed. The boxes weren’t emptied by 7 p.m. when I arrived home.

Those Enterra trucks must have been busy. Our street was apparently serviced sometime later in the evening because this morning, everyone’s boxes appeared to have been emptied.  Except mine.

Now there may be a rule against stacking your boxes, although I didn’t see that in the literature. I stacked the plastic box on top of the paper box because it was raining heavily and continued through the day. I thought keeping the rain off the newspapers was a good idea.  Clearly not, since my boxes were skipped over. I’ve learned my lesson.

In two week’s time, the boxes will be at the curb, rain or shine, and definitely not stacked.

You don’t have to tell me twice.
