After reading your letters section published on Thursday, Sept. 27 (Educated by YouTube About Smart Meters, Capital News), I would like to request a clarification for your next edition on our proposed advanced metering project:
FortisBC has not installed smart meters, or advanced meters, in Kelowna or the surrounding area.
Currently, it has an application under review with the B.C. Utilities Commission regarding this proposed electricity project.
FortisBC does replace both gas and electric meters periodically for Measurement Canada compliance.
