Dear editor,
It has been a long time since I had a direct involvement with public education, so I apologize for the shock that went through me reading the Sept. 5 issue of your paper.
You listed all the administrators of the public schools in the valley — and a new term hit me: Distributed learning.
I haven’t a clue what that means, but I note that it has eight administrators, probably at an average salary of $100,000, plus support staff, an office, computer and internet, expense accounts and the like.
That is money that isn’t going to support students and teachers in the classroom.
I may have lived too long.
Cliff Boldt,
Courtenay
