Resident raises questions about how the local MP votes

Barb Brouwer’s article in the Jan. 5 Morning Star about MP Colin Mayes indicates that he does, at times, disagree with Stephen Harper.

I was intrigued that he wouldn’t provide examples.

So I looked up his voting record in the House.

In 2013, it appears that he voted with the government on all 41 times.

If he disagreed with the PM, as he states he has, why does he always vote as the PM wants (at least in 2013).

Can Ms. Brouwer do a follow-up with Mr. Mayes and give us a little better idea of how he functions in Ottawa as our MP?
