Re: Cedar supporters say plan flawed, Letters, July 25.
While reading your paper I came across a pair of supremely well-written letters in your July 25 edition. My suggestion to them is the same one I offer to each and every parent I meet. The current downward trend of respectful and responsible action has proved, to me, that in time all will see what I do.
Parents, remove your children from the public system. It, like all of our other systems, is badly flawed and will only inflict the half-cocked, uninformed thinking on our next generation.
I suffered at the hands of bullies for years as my teachers watched and did nothing. I was actually bullied by my seventh grade teacher, one who almost ruined my belief in humanity.
I was training to become a teacher to try and correct this gross negligence on behalf of the school. Unfortunately, I will not be applying at any of the public schools because of this current behaviour.
I expect parents will wise up soon, and realize it would be better to be home schooled by a kindergarten student than to be left at the hands of the public system.
