Ottawa memorial

Resident insists that a memorial should be installed to recognize the First Nations

In regards to all of the wrangling about where to place a memorial on Parliament Hill in honour of the victims of godless communism, I would suggest placing it right next to the one in remembrance of the victims of cultural genocide and suffering by aboriginal people, especially innocent children.

In true Canadian fashion, it should read, “We’re sorry (no platitudes). Signed the church and the government of Canada.”

There are many talented aboriginal sculptors who would do the monument justice in its honesty and sincerity.
