People should be more aware of impacts on earth

Modern man treats each other, other living creatures and resources of this earth as objects to be used for personal benefit

Indigenous peoples speak of Mother Earth. For them, there is recognition on their part that they are of Mother Earth and are interconnected with each other and rest of the universe.

Modern man seems to have lost this sense of interconnectedness and interdependence with each other and the habitants of the planet.

As a result, modern man treats each other, other living creatures and resources of this earth as objects to be used for personal benefit.

Modern man began years ago and continues to this day, the pollution of air, water, soil, the violation and devastation of the many creatures and non-renewable resources of the planet for economic and financial gain or greed, for political advantage namely power and for technological and scientific improvements namely national pride.

This does not mean that we cannot make use of our earthly resources, but that we must do it within the framework of ensuring ourselves to be economically sound as well as leaving the planet environmentally safe.
