Personal problems can affect decisions

Re: Officer in kicking video won’t be charged (News, Feb. 16)

I hear what the investigator from Vancouver Police Department is saying, and they are wrong – the video tells the truth.

There was no resisting on the video from the two victims. The officer is fortunate he did not do some real damage to the person. There was no need to use that kind of force when the suspects were on the ground.

These officers have a tough job at times, but they do have to know when to use force and when not to.

No one explained what the officer was so angry about, but you could see it in his actions. Maybe he’s going through difficult times himself with a personal matter.

In closing, the police force is looking pretty scary. I thought the motto was to serve and protect.
