Plan for the ‘epidemic’ now

We should build more Alzheimer care facilities like the Czorny Alzheimer Centre in Surrey.

Soon our hospitals will have to deal with the epidemic about to happen: Alzheimer’s disease.

There are 70,000 people in B.C. with this heartbreaking disease. Putting these people in an acute-care hospital will cost between $1,200 and $5,000 per day.

What should occur now is the construction of more Alzheimer care facilities like the Czorny Alzheimer Centre in Surrey.

The cost of care in this type of facility is between $500 and $700.
