There must be a lot of complaints directed at the Vernon Regional Airport judging by the amount of press it is getting.
It is not the airport, the Vernon Flying Club members or the airport businesses, that are the problem.
It is the ongoing, unacceptable, level of noise over the city from one skydive airplane that is causing the blow-back.
The citizens are justifiably angry, and annoyed, and it is unfair and unfortunate that the airport has become the scapegoat for it.
I believe that the mayor and councillors, the airport manager, the Vernon Flying Club and the businesses at the airport should get focused and engaged on the source of the real problem, and tap the collective wisdom, experience and leverage to find a solution.
