Polls typically don’t represent young voters

A recently publicized phone poll regarding the federal election favoured the Harper government and stated that the poll numbers had not changed since the election call.

I wonder how many people know that pollsters are only able to contact land-line phones and because many young people nowadays only own cell phones, which cannot be accessed by pollsters, the final results are skewed to favour the middle aged and older?

I also wish to point out the unfairness of allowing the Bloc Québecois Party to take part in the debates but not the Green Party. The Bloc is essentially a provincial party (although they already have a provincial party, the Parti Québecois) as they only run candidates in Quebec and have no connections in any other country.

The Green Party in contrast, run candidates in all provinces and is an international party. Should Canadians let the CEOs of our media decide the rules for all of us?

Perhaps Parliament should discuss this and create rules as to what constitutes a federal party?
