I was astounded, at first, at the letter “Bring Popcorn” until I read the author and company, Marine Harvest, which is a Norwegian company with head offices in Norway.
Ninety-two per cent of fish farms are Norwegian owned. I’m sure the letter writer’s masters in Norway were happy to see his letter. His quote from the Cohen Commission is meant to mislead anyone — in the quote I just read, Justice Cohen said “I therefore conclude that the potential harm posed to Fraser River sockeye salmon from salmon farms is serious or irreversible. Disease transfer occurs between wild and farmed fish.”
I think that we all should watch the film at http://www.farmedanddangerous.org/solutions/industry-reform/about-the-industry and please bring a box of Kleenex instead of popcorn.
