The post office would have us believe the boxes they are providing are secure.
They are apparently broken into so often that they do not even notify the boxholders. Here is part of a message I recieved about a cheque I sent in the mail.
“I made an inquiry to my post office today regarding your mail that has not arrived, along with several other cheques that have not arrived.
“It turns out that our mail box has been broken into two times in the past 2 weeks!
“And Canada Post didn’t bother to tell us because, ‘It happens all of the time.'”
The post office needs to redesign their boxes so they are not easily broken into.
They also need a policy notifying customers when their boxes have been broken into. This is unforgivable.
