Posters, notices and requests on poles often line our streets and do serve a purpose. My husband took note of a telephone number about a lost dog and when he got home, called about the dog. He was aware of a dog running loose and appearing to look for a family so wanted to give the information to the phone number posted.
However, his information was not needed. the dog had been found and returned to his home. As I said, notices have a history of being a service to any community, however it is thoughtful to remove the notice when it is no longer relevant.
These signs do take away from the ambience of an area.
